Connect is about helping people connect with God and in doing so, connecting with one another. In our world today we all are looking for genuine relationships. This site is a tool to help people grow in their relationship with God by learning about His character and His purpose their lives. This is a place to come together and encourage one another along the journey.

How do people connect with one another?
Are the Sat. night meetings the same as a Sunday a.m. format or more like the Biblical concept of the people having an opportunity to sing, pray, encourage, teach, prophesy, etc. as led by the Holy Spirit?
Personally, staring at the back of someone’s head for an hour a week has never (in 33 years of knowing the Lord) connected me to anyone.
**sigh** Just wishing that I could find some Christians who really love God since my family and I moved back home to Roxboro instead of just religious congregants who live their lives unto themselves between Sundays.

Denise,
Thanks for the question. Part of our time together on Saturday nights is devoted to relationship building with each other. As we enjoy coffee and desserts, there are round tables where we can all sit and get to know one another. This is the best time to be an encouragement to each other and pray with/for someone.
After this time in the evening, we sing together, study the Word together, and then have a time of haring afterward.
I hope to see you tonight
Jon

Thank you for having this website. It will afford me the opportunity to stay connected with Ca-Vel Baptist Church and its growth. I think of everyone there that has been a blessing in my life. Although I have found a church home in Durham, Ca-Vel remains dear to me as it is where I found the Lord so many years ago. God Bless you, Jon and your family. Your presence has meant a lot to all who know you.

Thanks Ann for those words of encouragement. I’m glad that site can help you stay connected with the folks at Ca-Vel. May God continue to bless you and your family.
